Clarra offers Users two primary search options — Global Search and Contextual Search. Both types of search allow you to apply filters after entering the initial search term.
Global Search appears on the top right of your screen and is available across every page. It shows results from all sections of Clarra. Global Searches are “fuzzy”, and do not require an exact match for relevant results to appear. You can type “Adms” to see results for “Adams”, for example.
Use Cases:
- Conflict Search
- Cross-sectional searching helps reveal potential conflicts of interest
- Comprehensive Searches
- Gathering results from across sections can provide more comprehensive insights
- Searching by Category
- Global Search arranges searches by sections, and results can be viewed in these different tab categories
Contextual Search appears beneath section headers on the left-center side of your screen and is section-specific. It shows results from the section you are searching within. Contextual Searches are especially useful when you know where to find the information you’re looking for, and want to avoid cluttered results that include similar terms from other sections. Contextual Search uses exact and partial matches, and is best-suited when looking for a particular result.
Use Cases:
- Section-specific Search
- Very helpful to target information within a specific section (searching within Matters or Contacts for example)
- Searching for details within a Matter
- Search for Linked Contacts, Plaintiffs, Events, etc within a specific Matter
