File Type Restrictions

You can upload files to a variety of sections on Clarra. Sections that support file uploads include:

• ClarraDocs
• Events
• Recoveries
• Plaintiffs
• Matters - Custom Fields
• Contacts - Custom Fields

To upload a file to a Custom Field for Matters or Contacts, select “File attachment” as the Field Type when creating the Custom Field.

Included below are lists of supported and restricted file types.

Allowed File Types:

• Script Files: .htm, .html
• Document Files with Macros: .docm, .xlsm, .pptm
• Archive Files: .7z, .arj, .deb, .pkg, .rar, .rpm, .tar, .gz, .z, .zip
• Image Files (that may contain malicious code): .svg, .tiff
• Audio/Video Files: .avi, .mp3, .mp4, .wav, .wmv, .flv, .m4a, .mov, .mpg, .mpeg, .wm, .swf
• Database Files: .db, .dbf, .mdb, .sql, .pdb, .sqlitedb, .sqlite3, .asc

Restricted File Types:

• Executable Files: .exe, .bat, .cmd, .sh, .php, .pl, .cgi, .386, .dll, .com, .torrent, .js, .app, .jar, .vb, .vbs
• Script Files: .asp, .aspx, .cer, .cfm, .csr, .css, .jsp, .php, .rss, .xhtml
• System Files: .bak, .cab, .cfg, .cpl, .cur, .dat, .dmp, .drv, .icns, .ico, .ini, .lnk, .msi, .sys, .tmp
• Certificate Files: .cer, .crt, .der
