Standard Reports provide Users with prebuilt, ready-to-use Reports offering answers to frequently asked questions. These Reports update automatically as you generate them, ensuring every relevant, up-to-date result appears in the Report.
Standard Reports are organized by their associated sections, covering most major features on Clarra. You can search for the specific Report or section you're looking for by utilizing the search feature at the top of the page.
Reports can be Exported as CSVs, XLSXs, DOCXs, or PDFs depending on the Report.
Below, we’ll go over how to generate a Standard Report as well as the different types of Standard Reports available, broken down by section.
Generate a Standard Report
- Navigate to Standard Reports by pressing “Reports” on the left side of the screen
- Select the “Standard” tab, which will usually have already displayed automatically
- Click on the Report you wish to create

Fill in desired filter information in the pop-up
- Most Reports have at least one required filter to select, marked by a red asterisk
- Press “Generate Report” to create the Report
Accounting
Accounting Reports appear if your company has the Accounting feature enabled.

Accounts Balances Report
- Lists all Accounts with their current balances, and other basic Account information, including contact information

Accounts Receivable Report
- Provides an overview of outstanding Invoices, organized by days overdue, helping you track your firm’s cash flow

Account Statement Report
- Shows a detailed statement of all transactions for a specific Account, including payments sent and received, and balance updates, to provide a clear Account history

Forecast Report
- Provides a projected Revenue Forecast and a projected Expense Forecast for a specified period to help you anticipate financial performance and make informed budgeting decisions

Expense History Report
- Provides a comprehensive list of all Expenses for a specified period, detailing amounts, vendors, billable status, and relevant details for accurate Expense tracking by Matter or Lead Attorney

Invoice History Report
- Provides a detailed list of all Invoices for a specified period, including their statuses, amounts, and associated Matters

Payments History Report
- Provides a detailed view of all recorded payments for a specified date range, and their allocation to Invoices, Expenses, and Matters, ensuring transparent payment tracking

Recovery Details by Matter Report
- Displays the details related to litigation fund, cost split agreement, fee split agreement, recovery summary information, and recovery phases for a given Matter
- This Report will appear even if Accounting is not enabled, as recoveries are part of Matters

Recoveries Summary Report
- Displays recovery summary and recovery phase data for multiple Matters
- This Report will appear even if Accounting is not enabled, as recoveries are part of Matters
ClarraDocs

Docketing Audit Trail
- Shows the audit trails of ClarraDocs items “Sent to Docketing”
- Indicates the date the ClarraDocs item was sent to docketing, the User who sent it, the date docketing was completed, and the Docketing User who marked it as “Complete”
- This is part of the closed-loop obligation tracking Clarra offers, helping you never miss a deadline
Events

Trial Calendar
- Lists all future Events with Event Code “ARB” or “TRIAL” for all open or closed Matters
- Helps you prepare for upcoming trials
Matters

Activity by Matter
- Helps you identify Matters with no recent activity by listing the date of the most recent Timekeeping record and the date of the furthest Event for all active Matters
- This helps keep Matters from falling through the cracks by making it easy to identify which Matters are trending towards inactive

Billing Details by Matter
- Displays all billing records for a selected Matter in chronological order, as well as the total hours and total amount
- If no date range is specified, the Report includes all billing records for the selected Matter from inception through the current date

Billing Summary by Matter
- Displays the total billed hours and lodestar for a selected Matter and specified date range, including subtotals by Timekeeper organized by Timekeeper classification
- If no date range is specified, the Report includes all billing records for the Matter from inception through the current date

Billing Summary by Task Code
- Shows a summary of each Timekeeper’s billed hours and amount for a particular Matter within a specified date range, grouped by Task Code with subtotals for hours and amount
- If no date range is selected, the Report includes all billing records for the Matter from inception through the current date
- This is especially useful when preparing to submit Timekeeping records for judicial review
Timekeeping
Users must have Timekeeping permissions to generate Timekeeping Reports.

Billed Hours Details by Timekeeper
- Helps you identify Matters with no recent activity by listing the dates of the most recent Timekeeping record and the furthermost Event for all active Matters

Billed Hours Summary by Timekeeper
- Displays the total hours billed by selected Timekeepers for a specified date range
- Only Users with permissions can see other Users’ billed time
Users

Audit Trail by User
- Displays changes made by a selected User in any field for Matters, Events, or ClarraDocs within a specified date range

Docketing Audit Trail
- Shows the audit trail of ClarraDocs items “Sent to Docketing”
- Indicates the date the ClarraDocs item was sent to docketing, the User who sent the ClarraDocs item to docketing, the date docketing was completed, and the Docketing User who marked it as “Complete”

Billing Rate History
- Lists the billing rate, effective date, and bar passage date for each Timekeeper whose billing rate has changed
- This is especially useful for Users whose billing rate updates annually, but wish to maintain their previous rates for older Matters

Billing Rate by User
- Lists the billing rate, bar passage date, and classification for all active Timekeepers

User Details
- Lists the User details of all Users with permission to add/edit Timekeeping hours
- Out-of-the-box, all User Roles have this permission
