Before adding Plaintiffs, it’s helpful to add Custom Fields to the Plaintiff Info and Plaintiffs Profile Form pages. This allows you to specify the information you wish to track for Plaintiffs connected with a Matter and categorize it for easy access and comparison.
The Plaintiff Info page is designed to track general information about the Plaintiff, and it’s worth adding Custom Fields to this page prior to adding a new Plaintiff. Companies that wish to keep all relevant information on one page may also choose to do so here, rather than including Matter-specific information on the Profile Form page.
The Plaintiffs Profile Form page is a blank slate to build upon and is especially useful for including Matter-specific information the Plaintiff has provided to you by filling out forms. With Clarra’s Zapier and API integrations, you can seamlessly import information from Google Forms, Jotforms, Microsoft Forms, Typeforms, and more.
Remember, the terms Plaintiffs and Profile Form may appear differently if your admin has renamed them.
Before creating Custom Fields for the Plaintiff Info and Profile Form pages, create any Major Section Headers and Section Headers you will use to organize those fields. The order of Custom Field creation should be as follows, as our more comprehensive guide on creating Custom Fields explains:
- Create Custom Major Section Headers
- Create Custom Section Headers to place under Custom Major Section Headers
- Create Custom Fields or Custom Field Groups to place under Custom Major Section Headers or Custom Section Headers
If you’ve already created a Custom Field but not the Header you want to place it under, you can create the Header and then edit the Custom Field to appear below it.
Be aware that once you enter data into a Custom Field, the Custom Field cannot be deleted.
