Creating a new Plaintiff is similar to adding a Contact. It's beneficial to set up Custom Fields for the Plaintiff Info page beforehand, allowing you to fill them out during creation. While you can edit the Plaintiff Info and Profile Form pages after creation, many prefer to enter this information while adding a new Plaintiff.
Plaintiffs must be linked to a Principal Matter, so create the Matter before the Plaintiff. The term Plaintiff itself may also be different, if your admin has renamed the property.
To Add a New Plaintiff:
- Select the “Plaintiffs” section on the left side of the screen
- Press “+ New Plaintiff” on the top right corner below your profile icon
- Enter the Plaintiff’s name
- Choose the Principal Matter the Plaintiff is related to
- Fill in their contact information
- Scroll down and press “Save”
