The Plaintiffs section provides a centralized location to organize information related to a plaintiff’s involvement with a Matter. The Plaintiffs section allows you to track plaintiff-related information such as background, related Matters, linked Contacts, Profile Form data, Events, and notes.
Plaintiffs must be connected with a Principal Matter and can also be linked with other Matters, such as mass tort master Matters, arbitration, and mediation.
The Plaintiffs Info and Profile Form pages can be renamed, so the terminology may appear differently if your admin has made a change. It’s also important to create Custom Fields for Plaintiff Info and Profile Forms before adding Plaintiffs.
There are 7 categories used to detail each Plaintiff:

Plaintiff Info
- Displays the Plaintiff’s general information, including their name, address, and contact information

Linked Matters
- Displays Matters with which the Plaintiff is linked. There will always be a minimum of one Matter, the Plaintiff’s Principal Matter.

Linked Contacts
- Shows the Contacts with which the Plaintiff is linked

Profile Form
- This is a fully customizable tab that allows you to include information tailored to the Matter Type of the Plaintiff’s Principal Matter. Online forms can be integrated with Clarra to complete this Profile Form.

Documents
- Displays Documents that are related to the Plaintiff, especially useful for record keeping and tracking communications

Notes
- A larger Notes section unique to the individual Plaintiff, providing space to record information and categorize it with Activity and Task Codes

Events
- Displays Events with which the Plaintiff is linked
- You can create Events exclusive to individual Plaintiffs, without having that Event display as part of their Principal Matter
