The cohesiveness of the Clarra platform is particularly clear at the intersection of Timekeeping and Accounting. Clarra’s all-in-one functionality makes it simple to track and bill time.
Users can include Timeslips they’ve logged as part of Invoices they create in Clarra. Simply create a new Invoice, select a Date Range, choose a Matter or Client, and check the boxes next to Timeslips. The Timeslips associated with the selected Matter or Client for the given Date Range will be automatically uploaded to the Invoice.
Users can even edit the added Timeslips on the Invoice Draft. On the Review and Edit Invoice page, Users can adjust Timeslip duration and rate. Crucially, this does not change the recorded duration or rate of the original Timeslip. Instead, it adjusts the duration or rate that will be billed to the Client.
This is especially useful for situations where you need to adjust to meet Client expectations. Perhaps a junior colleague took 3 hours to complete a 1 hour task. With this feature, the 3 hours it took is recorded for your own internal recordkeeping, but the Client can be billed the agreed-upon 1 hour.
When you upload a Timeslip to an Invoice, the Timeslip is automatically marked as “Billed”, making it easy to keep track of Timeslip Status.
