What are Milestones?

Milestones are a highly useful filtering tool that help you quickly access a Matter’s key Events. When creating a New Event, you can specify that the Event is a Milestone.

Milestones appear in their own tab of Events, separate from every other Event. Milestone Events are displayed in this tab regardless of Status. This allows you to quickly get an overview of a Matter’s progress, seeing which Events are completed and which are still in progress or yet to pass, without any additional filtering required.

You can access the Milestones tab via the Matters page:

• Select “Matters” on the left side of the screen
• Click on the diamond icon for the Matter you wish to view

It’s common for Events to pile up for any Matter, so having a built-in clutter-free category to keep track of the most important ones is crucial.

Milestones also contain a Result feature, which gives you the space to write a brief note about the Milestone Event. It’s an easily accessible way to keep updates or important information about the Milestone Event on hand.

Users in supervisory positions will find Milestones especially useful, allowing them to follow the key steps of a Matter without delving too deeply into the minutia of each Event. Milestones also help for quick Matter summarization to share with external stakeholders. With that said, every User can benefit from the Milestones feature to enjoy a more organized and efficient experience.
