What are Followers and how are they different from Assignees of an event?

Followers are individuals who wish to be informed about events but are not assigned to them. They can see events they follow on their calendar, yet:

• Events appear on a follower’s calendar with zero duration, meaning no time is blocked out.
• Followers do not receive reminder notifications for these events.
• They also do not receive notifications for messages intended for the event's assignees. Refer to the Message Assignees feature for more details.

Assignees are individuals assigned to take action or attend an event. They have specific responsibilities, which include the following:

• The event blocks out time on the assignees' calendars.
• Assignees receive reminder notifications for the events to which they are assigned.
• They also receive notifications for messages sent specifically to assignees of the event, facilitating direct communication. See the Message Assignees feature for additional information.
