There are two ways to create a new time slip:
From any page in the application, click on the (+) icon on the top right and select “New Timeslip”.
From within the Timekeeping tab of any matter, click on the +New Timeslip button on the right side below the matter name. Opening the New Timeslip form from this page will have the Matter name pre-populated on the form.
The running timeslips will always appear on top of the list of timeslips in green, regardless of the date range selection in the filters of the page.
The New Timeslip page looks like this:
Date - the current date is displayed by default.
Duration - the duration of a timeslip is recorded in hours with 6 minutes increments. 6 minutes = 0.1 hours.
Timekeeper - displays the current user’s initials by default.
Matter - select the relevant matter from the list of open matters.
Type - this is a code for the activity type based on a predefined list. The activity type data labels can be customized in the Timekeeping tab of the Data Properties section of Account Settings. Only Admins or users who have been granted permission can customize the activity type data labels.
Project - assign a project to the timeslip. The data labels for Projects can be customized in the Timekeeping tab of the Data Properties section of Account Settings.
