What is Save and Calculate Docket?

The Save and Calculate Docket button allows you to calculate deadlines based on a trigger date according to the court rules for a particular jurisdiction, court or judge.  In order to use this feature, you must have an active subscription with CalendarRules.  

CalendarRules is a subscription-based service offering automated rules-based calendaring of events based on a trigger date for over 1800 different jurisdictions nationwide, including Federal, State, Bankruptcy, Appellate, Local, Judges, and Agency Rules.  Rules are available in all states, plus Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  To learn more about CalendarRules and how it can help your practice,   click here.

When you are creating an event, clicking on the “Save and Calculate Docket” button will guide you through the following steps in order to calculate and create the related events: 

  • Step 1: Tthe event will be saved and flagged as a trigger event.

  • Step 2: Docket Calculator page - make sure the correct trigger date, matter, jurisdiction, and method of service (if applicable) are displayed.  Select “Calculate”

  • Step 3: Displays all events that are related to the trigger event.  Select the ones you want to save and hit “Next”

  • Step 4: Make any edits to the related events and add reminders, if needed, and save the events.
